Afzal’s vision for the IICC

Afzal envisions the IICC becoming an internationally acclaimed institution that showcases the rich Islamic culture from various regions of India, highlighting their contributions to both the nation and the world. He aims to foster interfaith dialogue and cooperation, empower minorities and youth by addressing their challenges, and supporting their success. His vision includes promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the IICC.
Afzal is committed to bringing about tangible and sustainable change at the IICC, making it indispensable and relevant for the future. He aspires to transition from the old order to a new era where the younger generation is groomed for leadership roles across various fields. He plans to broaden the membership base to make it truly representative of India and establish sub-centers nationwide. Afzal believes that IICC members should feel privileged and proud of their membership, which should translate into tangible benefits.

Steps that Afzal plans after elections

If elected President, Afzal plans to hold a meeting with all IICC members to gather their views on the mission and objectives of the institution. Subsequently, in consultation with elected members and staff, he will identify the institution’s vulnerabilities and gaps and create a prioritized action plan (POA) to address urgent issues first.

A top priority will be to prepare a status report on the financial position of IICC, including assets, debts, liabilities, and the state of financial audits, providing members with a clear picture of the institution’s financial health.
